    Having overcome the demons of his past, Malcolm (Wayans) is ready to start over with his new girlfriend Megan (Pressly) and her two kids, Wyatt (Stebbins) and Becky (Richards) in "A Haunted House 2." When their house is plagued by a rash of bizarre paranormal events, Malcolm turns for help to his buddy Miguel (Iglesias) and exorcist Father Williams (Cedric the Entertainer) in an attempt to drive the evil spirits from his home.     Special features iinclude commentary with Actor/Co-Writer/Producer Marlon Wayans, Director Michael Tiddes, and Co-Writer/Producer Rick Alvarez; deleted and extended scenes (HD 17:54); upfront previews; BD-Live functionality; and an UltraViolet digital copy.

    As with the original movie, the 1.85:1 1080p AVC picture is nicely resolved and shifts from pristine, sharp, real-time imagery to that photographed with a video camera, which exhibits a blue hue during night scenes. Otherwise, the color palette is naturally hued with accurate fleshtones. Contrast is well balanced with deep blacks and good shadow delineation. Overall, this is a well-crafted visual experience that plays with the paranormal phenomena in a similar treatment. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is dialogue focused with good spatial integration and intelligibility. Depending on the scene's segment, the sonics are enhanced with energized atmospherics and sound effects, to portray the paranormal energy. Bass energy is extended to sub-25 Hz frequencies. The music score is sporadic and hip sounding. The overall sonics are comedically applied to accentuate the ridiculous. (Gary Reber)
