    A little cat discovers a marvelous and mystical new home in "Thunder And The House Of Magic." Seeking shelter from a storm, a young and abandoned cat named Thunder sneaks into a mysterious mansion owned by Lawrence, a retired magician. This fantastically strange house plays host to all of Lawrence's animal friends, including Jack the Rabbit and Maggie the Mouse, and a dazzling array of automatons and gizmos, making it a little rough for Thunder to fit in. But when trouble strikes, Thunder and the gang must pull together to defend their home using an array of delightfully spooky strategies. (Gary Reber)

    Special features include three featurettes: "Origins" (HD 04:07), "Character Animaton" (HD 04:40), and "Soundtrack" (HD 03:45); the theatrical trailer; upfront previews; and an UltraViiolet digital copy.

    The 1080p MVC 3D picture is delightfully visually entertaining, with an engaging mix of characters that are extremely well rendered in 3D. The color palette is vivid, with nicely saturated hues that pop. Contrast is excellent, with deep blacks. Resolution also is excellent, with extremely detailed imagery. There is a fair bit of 3D exaggerations, exhibiting a point-of-view perspective as well as out-of-screen objects hurling around. All this enhances the visual immersion. And depth is excellent in numerous scenes, with characters appearing always dimensional and not flat. Overall, this is an excellent 3D experience that will delight the family. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack includes both the original French language version as well as an English dub version. Dialogue presentation is naturally cast with excellent spatial delineation. No recognizable names are credited for the dialogue. Atmospherics and special effects enhance the production design, especially with respect to the little engaging inventions Lawrence surrounds himself with. The music score is terrific and nicely recorded. Overall, fidelity and dynamic range are nicely executed, for an engaging sonic treat. (Gary Reber)
