When narcotics detective Eugene "Mack" McCanick (Morse) discovers that Simon Weeks (Monteith) has been released from prison, he instigates a brutal manhunt, without permission from the Chief of Police (Hinds). The frenzy of paranoia and violence that follows pushes Mack and his partner to the edge of the law. The closer Mack gets to his prey, the closer he gets to a secret from his past�one that only Weeks can expose. (Gary Reber)

Special features include a behind-the-scenes featurette (HD 10:13), nine deleted and extended scenes (HD 16:31), the trailer, and upfront previews.

The 2.39:1 1080p AVC picture was photographed digitally with the Red Epic camera system. The picture is stylishly cast at times in a "greenish" hue, yet fleshtones generally appear natural. Colors can appear naturally hued and at times vivid. Contrast is good, with blacks that are deep and shadows that are decent. Resolution is a bit soft except for closeups of facial features and other object attributes. Overall, this is an engaging visual experience that nicely frames the inner-city story. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio� 5.1-channel soundtrack is dialogue focused but with atmospherics that enhance the realism of the urban scene. Occasional sound effects, such as handgun fire, enhance the action scenes. Low-frequency extension and energy are limited, except toward the end when the action intensifies. The music score spans the front channels and extends to the surround for envelopment, along with low-level atmospherics. While not a robustly aggressive sonic experience, the sound is complementary to the story. (Gary Reber)
