Swelter is a story about a bank-robbing team, who 10 years ago stole $100 million from the Luxor Casino, the most notorious robbery in Las Vegas history. Not all of them got away. Now, Bishop (James) is a small-town sheriff, making an honest living...with no memory of his criminal past. But when his old crew rolls into town, after blasting their way out of a maximum-security prison, looking for the loot, the perfect getaway threatens to turn into a nightmare of greed, revenge, and retribution. (Gary Reber)

Special features include interviews with the cast and crew (HD 56:58), the trailer, and upfront previews.

The 2.40:1 1080p AVC picture is terrific, with well balanced contrast, with deep, solid blacks and shadow delineation that is revealing. The color palette is nicely saturated with strong primaries and rich and warm hues. The desert backdrop appears natural, with golden hues and often dramatic perspectives. Splashes of intense color enhance the dramatic contrast. Fleshtones are perfectly natural in appearance. Resolution is excellent, with fine detail exhibited in facial features, hair, clothing, and object texture. Photographed digitally, this is a vivid and colorful visual experience, with excellent contrast and color fidelity. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack sounds dynamic, with aggressive holosonic® immersive surround presence delivered by an aggressive music score and sound effects. There is plenty of gunfire throughout, with accentuated bass for dramatic effects and directionality. Dialogue is generally well integrated spatially and natural sounding. Surround envelopment is aggressive throughout, which enhances the sense of dimension. Deep bass is solid in all channels and punctuated in the .1 LFE channel. This is a satisfying sonic experience that sounds dynamic and dimensional. (Gary Reber)
