When buxom blonde Amy (Simpson) takes a job at Super Club (ala Costco®), a rumor begins to circulate within the warehouse. This rumor, which may or may not be true, indicates that Amy only dates (read, hooks up) with the Employee Of The Month. And this is the only rumor that kick-back, do-the-least-amount-possible cashier Zack (Cook) needs to get motivated. But there's a problem...in the form of stiff competition in Vince Downey (Shepard), the reigning holder of the coveted EM title, with 17 consecutive wins. Gentlemen, fire up your scanners! (Jack Kelley)
Special features include two commentary tracks: one with Director Greg Coolidge and Dane Cook, and the other with Coolidge. There is also an alternate opening, three deleted scenes, a 5-1/2 minute blooper reel, the same four-part featurette where the actors ad-lib (and flub) their lines as on the DVD, a two-minute featurette "At Work With Lon," five minutes of "On Set Shenanigans," a four-minute "The Beauty Of Bulk" featurette, and a 9-1/2-minute "Men Of Super Club" featurette.
While blacks are deep in the anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD, some details in the darkest scenes can look shrouded. Colors are well rendered, but fleshtones are slightly too red. Noticeable edge enhancement and pixilation, when combined with the fine grain structure, make a mess out of most detail in medium and long shots. The Blu-ray Disc has good depth thanks to adequate shadow delineation, but fine details are not very well rendered. Fleshtones can look slightly pasty, and hues generally have a slightly desaturated look. (Danny Richelieu)
The Blu-ray Disc's lossy DTS-HD High Resolution Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack is limited in its effectiveness, with poor surround envelopment and a basic sound structure (although it does sound slightly more natural than the DVD's encoding). (Danny Richelieu)
