Story Synopsis:
The third episode in the Indiana Jones series with Indy back at play once again against the Nazis, but this time a second Jones, Indy’s feisty father (Sean Connery) has joined the thrill-a-minute fun as they set out to find the mystically-empowered Holy Grail.
LaserDisc Picture:
The digital video transfer at 2.33:1 is flawless. Color fidelity and fleshtones are perfect as is the color balance from scene to scene. The pressing by PVM is completely without distracting artifacts. This is as it should be, and is what a quality presentation is all about.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The John Williams score was once again expertly recorded on the old MGM soundstage (at the time Lorimar Studios, now Sony Pictures), but this time by Dan Wallin. The Dolby Surround® is aggressive, and heightens both the atmospheric state of each scene as well as the action. This is as it should be with all films, but is exemplary with the filmmakers’ art of Lucas and Spielberg.
