WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
A hilarious jaunt through the evolution of society from the caves to the French Revolution, as envisioned by Mel Brooks. Aided and abetted by some of the funniest comedians in Hollywood, Brooks satirizes every walk of life, religion and politics, with complete disregard for historical accuracy or the boundries of good taste.

LaserDisc Picture:
This is a pristine transfer perfectly framed at 2.35:1. Colors are brilliant and beautiful. Everything is sharp, clear and detailed even in the shadows and the disc is free of noise and artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is mono, but still sounds very good, especially the wonderful narration by Orson Welles.
