Story Synopsis:
A touching comedic drama about summer camp and the now grown freinds who reunite there after 20 years, at the invitation of their old camp counselor Uncle Lou (Alan Arkin), who still has a few lessons left to teach. The friends pick up where they left off -- dreams of an idealized childhood and romance in the beautiful Canadian North.
LaserDisc Picture:
This 2.35:1 framing overall looks bright, colorful, and natural but in some scenes colors are over-saturated. Night scenes are will lit with excellent shadow detail. The images lack the sharpness of the best discs and there is an ever so slight noise that mars an otherwise satisfying visual experience.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is over produced. ADR dialogue is punctuated in all of the outdoor scenes that otherwise would have a natural ambience. Surrounds are virtually non-existent except for the music score.
