WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
A laughter filled hit comedy with an irresistible music score punctrated with ‘60’s Motown hits. The divine proceeedings follow a twist on the gimmick of hiding a witness in a nunnery. Goldberg’s lounge singer character under a police protection program ends up in a convent where she turns the church choir of devout nuns into religious showgirls.

LaserDisc Picture:
The digital video transfer of this film looks a bit washed-out. Natural color fidelity and balance is off. As with nearly all Disney spherical flat projected films, the aspect ratio is 1.75:1 which will play virtually flawlessly on the 16:9 (1.78:1) widescreen format.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The sound is generally good, but there is very little surround activity, just the run-of-the-mill diffuse envelopment during scenes with music. The choir voices are well delineated but bass energy is thin and everything sounds slightly bright even with re-equalization to the dubbing theatre standard.
