WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
“The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert” is the comedic camp movie from Australia about three drag Queens: Bernadette, a transsexual star who is hoping to re-live her theatrical glory days, is played wonderfully by Stamp; Adam (Pearce), a young flamboyant party boy with a huge wardrobe; and the organizer Tick (Weaver), who is feeling more uncertain about meeting his wife and son—who are never short of an audience whether walking down the streets of a desert town or performing to a group of aborigines in the outback.

LaserDisc Picture:
The Panavision® scope frame has been slightly cropped at 2.32:1. Colors are vivid and fleshtones are accurate. Night scenes are pretty solid with slight noise artifacts. Overall the presentation is pleasing.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The sound is driven by the seemingly constant disco music that adds to the fun.
