WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Blankman is a crime-fighting comedy about two slapstick super-heroes who set out to fight intercity crime. Damon Wayans (In Living Color) plays Darryl Walker the in-ventive, self-appointed supernerd Blankman who persuades his reluctant brother Kevin (David Alan Grier) to accompany him in fighting the underworld. Wearing his improvised costume and using various household contraptions as weapons Darryl sets out to en-gage in a war against evil. When Kimberly Jonz (Robin Givens). the ace TV reporter, breaks the news of his escapades he is catapulted to fame as a force to be reckoned with in this superhero adventure comedy.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.85:1 matted picture is sharp and de-tailed with excellent color fidelity and contrast. There is some slight grain and noise but no marring artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The theatrical soundtrack was released in SDDS and was loud and spatial. The sound here is well recorded, dynamic and spatial as well. Dialogue sounds connected to actual scenes and both agressive and subtle envelopment is povided by the music and effects.
