WSR Narrative Review |
|
Story Synopsis:
Based on Michael Crichton’s best-selling novel, Douglas plays Tom Sanders, a long-time company employee at a Seattle computer firm who is in the line for vice-presidency, only to receive the shocking news that the position has been given to outsider Meredith Johnson (Moore). Meredith turns the tables on him when he resists her sexual advances and he decides to fight the allegations to save his career and marriage.
LaserDisc Picture:
The Panavision® scope aspect ratio has been framed at 2.44:1. The picture is exceptionally natural. Fleshtones are exemplary and both color fidelity and contrast are excellent. Images are detailed and sharp, and shadow detail is excellent. Except for the slightest grain and noise evident in the dark scenes there are no artifacts for an excellent solid picture.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is well recorded and overall nicely enveloping.
