    Story Synopsis:
    Based on the novel by Mark Toby, The Courtship Of Eddie’s Father is a sentimental and humorous comedy that truly celebrates the importance of family. A tiny Ron Howard stars as Eddie, the precocious six year-old son of Tom Corbett (Glenn Ford)—both of whom are trying to recover from the recent death of Tom’s wife. In the hopes of making his dad happy, Eddie pushes Tom back in to the dating scene with a kooky, self-conscious redhead named Dolly (Stella Stevens), Rita (Dina Merrill), a glamorous brunette fashion consultant and Elizabeth (Shirley Jones), their lovely and caring blonde neighbor. Young “Ronny” Howard is a joy to watch as the clever little Eddie.

    LaserDisc Picture:
    The picture, framed at 2.30:1, looks dated with plugged up and oversaturated MetroColor. Color fidelity is vivid with fully saturated fleshtones and deep blacks. Images are mostly wanting in sharpness and detail with mediocre shadow detail and contrast. Noise and artifacts are apparent throughout.
