Story Synopsis:
LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.85:1 picture is wanting in sharpness and detail, often appearing overly soft, with little background detail. Interior scenes are plugged-up and wanting in clarity. Hues appear dated, and inconsistent, with sometimes orange-hued fleshtones and lacking definition. Contrast and shadow delineation are mediocre, as is the overall visual experience at best. Noise and artifacts are apparent.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The Dolby® Surround soundtrack is conventional movie sound that is restricted in dynamic range and spatial dimension. Surround envelopment is pretty much limited to the music score, which sounds veiled and compressed. Dialogue sounds generally natural with good spatial integration. Overall, this is a dated surround mix that doesn’t quite get energized, but is serviceable.
