WSR Narrative Review |

Story Synopsis:
Imagine Libby Parson’s (Judd) shock when she discovers her husband—the man she was convicted of murdering—is still alive.... That he staged his own death and planned the scheme to look as if she were the only one capable of committing the crime! Well, she’s not so shocked that she can’t see that revenge can be hers, because as everyone knows, you can’t be tried for the same crime twice... that would be Double Jeopardy! Legally, the premise is all wet, but don’t let that spoil your fun.
LaserDisc Picture:
The 2.32:1 LaserDisc exhibits generally pleasing quality when viewed alone, but is slightly soft and plugged-up. Fleshtones appear slightly orange and hues seeming a bit oversaturated. Contrast is nicely rendered, and there is an accurate gradation of visual information between darkness and picture black. Edges are occasionally enhanced, and noise and artifacts are apparent throughout.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The Dolby® Surround PCM soundtrack delivers an impressive listening experience. The utilization of space is good, producing a nice holosonic listening experience, with the soundfield typically favoring the front channels. The dialogue production features decent spatial integration. The music score is nicely recorded, with a rich, engulfing presence.
