WSR Narrative Review |

Story Synopsis:
Four Rooms is the outrageous story of Ted’s (Roth) first night on the job as the new bellhop at a hotel. In four different rooms, four uniquely unbelievable predicaments occur in one night (each directed by a different director). On New Year’s Eve, the beautiful occupants of The Honeymoon Suite use Ted to get the final ingredient for the resurrection of a witch; in Room 404, Ted is held at gunpoint by mistake; Antonio Banderas’ character pays Ted $500 to babysit his two kids in Room 309 and in The Penthouse, he is offered $1,000 to be the anonymous party in the execution of a bet.
LaserDisc Picture:
The matted 1.85:1 picture exhibits excellent color fidelity with vivid colors and natural fleshtones Images are sharp and detailed, but slight noise and minor artifacts permeate.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The sound often has a very forward unnatural dialogue presence and the music recording quality is variable and often bright, but with subtle envelopment.
